Join us for this exciting hands-on class where you'll create the Take A Stand bag tought by our fabulous, Penny—a stylish, structured tote that’s as functional as it is fabulous. Whether you're heading to a retreat, organizing your sewing space, or just love a good bag project, this class is for you.

  • How to work with firm stabilizer for a professional, stand-up finish

  • Installing zippers with confidence (yes, even the curved ones!)

  • Tips for binding, boxing corners, and adding hardware

  • How the Take A Stand pairs perfectly with the Running With Scissors tool case (another class with Penny!)

3. Soft & Stable (36" x 58")
4. Fusible Interfacing (3" x 15 1/2") 
5. Mesh (for pockets) (18" x 17")
6. Handle Strapping 1" (3 yds)
7. 1" Hardware 
       - D rings (2) - 1"
       - Swivel Hooks (2) - 1" 
       - Wide Mouth Slider (1) - 1"
8. Fold over Elastic - 20mm (2 yds) 
9. Additional supplies for this project:
       - Sewing Machine w/ 1/4" foot
       - Walking foot
       - Rotary Cutter

Not required but helpful:
       - 1/2" bias tape maker & glue stick

Prior to Class (if Possible)
1. Purchase pattern, fabric and all supplies 
2. Read through pattern and cut out 
3. Prepare the pieces to be quilted 

Additional Notes 
there is a lot of detail in this project. Try to be on time and prepared to start work. we will be covering a lot of ground so it may be necessary to do some prep work for the following day
