Learn to Love Sewing – Beginner Project Class

Learn to Love Sewing is a welcoming beginner class that teaches you how to sew a simple project from start to finish in a fun, supportive environment. Our instructors guide you step by step, helping you build confidence while learning essential sewing techniques.

If you’re new to sewing and ready to make your first project, this class is your perfect next step.

Required Prerequisite: Sewing Machine Basics

Completion of our Sewing Machine Basics class is required before registering. In that class, you’ll learn how to thread your machine, wind and insert your bobbin, clean and troubleshoot your machine, and change needles and presser feet. This prerequisite ensures you have the foundational skills needed for project-based learning.

Class Kit

A curated project kit is required.

• Kit Fee: $30 (paid the day of class; separate from class fee)

The kit includes all materials needed so you can focus on learning. Each session features a guided make-and-take project designed to build skills and creativity. You’ll leave with a finished handmade project and new beginner sewing skills.

What to Bring

Please bring your sewing machine and basic tools:

• Machine with power cord & foot pedal

• Thread snips

• Pins

• Neutral thread

• New Microtex 80/12 needle

• Regular/zigzag presser foot

• Seam ripper

• Fabric scissors

All supplies are available in-store, and students receive 10% off class supplies.
